Marketing Showcase
Persis Print Inc.
Building an Online Presence
As a new business, I had the task of taking Persis Print online to help increase brand awareness. Their secluded location and strict competition made their online branding a pressing matter. This included creating and managing their website with full copy, setting up social media from scratch, and keeping it consistently active.
Breaking out of the B2B bubble
The second challenge came years later once we had built a stable B2B customer base. How do we break out, and reach more end-users? I helped expand our audience base through partner marketing and collaboration with festivals and galas to get our name in front of new audiences. Additionally, we pivoted into paid marketing with Google Ads and Meta Business Suite, continuously updating based on engagement analytics. This meant breaking into a new audience, increasing profit margins, and increasing online metrics like social followers and positive Google Reviews!
The Briars Resort & Spa
Navigating a Seasonal Business
I joined the Briars team in spring, and my main objective was to help increase revenue during the long and slow winter season. I focused on creating seasonal events (e.g. Halloween haunted house), promoting non-vacation aspects of the resort (restaurant, spa) through promotions and packages, and promoting them locally through our newsletter.
Keeping the Resort active
I attended trade shows and planned open houses to increase wedding venue bookings to ensure additional revenue streams. I planned collaborations with non-profits for such as the Explore Georgina Festival to attract visitors from nearby cities and provide exclusive offers for guests staying overnight. We also routinely collaborated with influencers by offering comped stays or meals to increase our social media presence.
